Our client is a UK based agency specialising in clinical and residential care. They operate several care homes and provide mental health rehabilitative services.

The Challenge

Our client required a custom Patient Management System (PMS) for their care organisations whilst also including several subsystems. The PMS aimed to help control and analyse medication intake as well as collecting data on treatment dynamics for each patient. The accumulated information would then support the selection and recommendation of a suitable treatment for each patient, facilitating care providers’ decision-making.

The Solution

Within 10 months, our product team developed a cloud-based application. This allowed care home staff to effectively manage their tasks and performance, including monitoring, tracking, analysis and reporting. The application included an API so that other parts of this in-progress ecosystem could interact with the solution.

The system supports an unlimited number of automatic tasks with the possibility for automated assignee selection. Auto-tasks are preconfigured in the admin panel and are activated when triggered inside the system or by an external source, via the API. Tasks can be allocated to as many employees as required, with one primary employee to manage the process.

The Outcome

Our team developed a Patient Management Solution (PMS) as a fully functioning product for care home facilities around the UK. This was initially planned for use within the agency’s own care homes, but the solution was further developed with a view to distributing it as a marketable product for other care organisations in the future.

This cloud-based application streamlined the management of tasks related to clinical care while ensuring operational efficiency and transparency. With thousands of predefined tasks and automations, the solution accelerated existing workflows and increased productivity. We are very pleased to report that it has proven to drive up to 2x cost reduction at the agency’s care homes.
